     For over thirty years, Dr. Marks and his staff has been providing comfortable, professional dental care to patients and their families-making their long-term oral health his top priority.  And because an integral part of that care includes clear communication and helpful patient education, we have designed this website.  Whether you are an existing patient, or just considering coming in for a first visit, we hope you'll find convenient information about our practice, our staff, our procedures, and our philosophy.

Family Values & Valued Families

     As you've probably noticed, our practice is all about families. For starters, we're a family business: Dr. Marks has recently welcomed son Aaron into the practice and anticipates his second son joining them following his graduation from dental school.  We all share a common commitment to excellence: we're dedicated to the family we come from, as well as to the families we serve.

Taking Time & Taking Care

     There are at least two more things you should know about us. One, we conduct a thorough evaluation of your oral health and its relationship to your overall health.  Two, we consider each patient's condition individually so that we can develop an appropriate treatment plan. Then we will take all the time necessary to explain everything to you to your satisfaction and ensure your complete comfort throughout each visit.

Norman J. Marks, DDS

     Dr. Norman Marks received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Medical College of Virginia in 1971.  Since that time he has taken hundreds of courses in the latest advances in dentistry.  He is an active member of The Richmond Dental Society and the Virginia Dental Association, and has served as Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee of The Richmond Dental Society since 1982.  He earned his "Fellowship" in The Academy of General Dentistry in the shortest allowable time.

     Dr. Marks truly loves his profession.  His greatest interests are in "Cosmetic Dentistry" and the rapidly evolving area of "Implant Dentistry."  He is one of only 400 dentists worldwide who have been chosen to be evaluators for the prestigious "Clinical Research Associates", a nonprofit organization that evaluates dental materials, equipment and techniques.

     Dr. Marks and his wife, Linda, have been married since 1972.  They have two sons, Aaron and Brandon. When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, "attempting" to play golf, jogging and traveling.
